Tendencies: The Number of Employees Will Continue to Decrease
The National Institute of Statistics has given these couple of day a press release with the results form the most recent research regarding the economic tendencies for May – July 2009. According to it in every sector of managerial activity decreases of the employee numbers are expected.
Therefore, managers from Manufacturing, Construction, Commerce and Services think that between May and July 2009 the number of employees will continue to decrease. Even though the predicted decline is moderated in comparison with the previous period, the regression tendency is disturbing.
The National Institute of Statistics’ analysis was made on representative swatches in manufacturing (2.070 economic agents), constructions (1.258), retail (2.678) and services (2.081). The size of swatches was established so the maximum admitted estimation error to be plus/minus 5% on sector. Detail can be found here.
