This year a number of IT companies which offer software solutions and applications announced their intention to hire both developers and consultant for their Romanian centers.

One of the companies that announced the increase of employees’ number is iQuest which offers complex solutions: ERP, CRM, BI, document management applications, apps for smart-phones and e-commerce platforms.

Therefore iQuest, with headquarter in Germany will hire 40 specialists in Java, .NET, Sharepoint, Symbian both developers and testers for the centers in Cluj and Brasov. Moreover through the internship (18 places) and practice ( 8 places) programs, iQuest will offer the possibility for students with great results in the programs to work inside the company.

At present from the 300 employees that iQuest Group has, 280 are in the Romanian centers.

Another company that will hire IT specialist is Pentalog, one of the greatest suppliers of software consultancy and development services. After winning a contract with ST-Ericsson, one of the biggest producers of semiconductors in the world, Pentalog will hire 55 graduates and specialist to develop 3G technology.

From the 470 employees of Pentalog, at the moment 370 are Romanians working in Sibiu, Brasov, Iasi and Bucharest. The company owned by Franco-German-Romanian holding intends by the end of this year to increase the number of employees to 600.

Also Microsoft has recently announced that it is going through an increase process of employees and is looking for 30 Romanian graduates and specialists, 20 for the center in Denmark and 10 for the one in Romania. The development center in Denmark is at the moment the largest development center in Europe that the company has were approximately 650 employees from 40 countries work.

Other companies that intent to make new hires are HP Romania, Adobe, Teamnet International, Wizrom Software and Ixia.

Even though at the present, in the Romanian IT companies there are almost 90.000 specialists, the deficit is further great, of about 20.000 people, companies saying that they can’t manage to find the qualifications they need.
